Our story
MSC Group (or the “Group”) is among the largest and most well-regarded home improvement and building products companies in Haiti, with a full-service presence in Port-au-Prince, the capital and largest city in the country, and in Cap Haitien, the largest city in the north. A broad nationwide presence is maintained through strong local partners and extensive distribution networks.
The Group is managed by the Handal family, a well-respected and recognized group in Haiti with roots that go back to 1964 when its founders opened their first store in the downtown Port-au-Prince. It wasn’t until 2010, upon opening its first state-of-the-art retail facility in Tabarre, that the Group accelerated its growth and ultimately became the leading entity that it is today.

MSC Group now operates its business through three separate divisions, MSC Trading (wholesale), MSC Plus (retail) and MSC Lumber, and carries the latest assortment of products in various categories including ceramics, tiles, building materials, hardware, plumbing, appliances, generators, solar panels, electrical items, lumber, plywood and steel.
